How to choose an engagement ring: four simple decisions
You choose an engagement ring in four decisions: the stone shape, the ring style (solitaire or side stones), the gold colour and the stone type — lab-grown diamond or moissanite. The size and budget come last, and you can change every choice before you order.
1. The stone shape
Each shape has its own character: round is classic and sparkling, oval and pear lengthen the finger, emerald is clear and elegant, and cushion is soft and romantic. The shapes guide explains each one: diamond shapes guide. The site offers eight shapes.
2. Solitaire or side stones
- Solitaire: one stone on a clean band — a timeless, minimalist look. Solitaire rings
- Side stones: a row of small stones surrounds the centre stone and adds sparkle along the band. All engagement rings
3. The gold colour
Yellow or white — both are 14K gold. White gold is rhodium-plated, and the plating may wear over the years. Details: 14K vs 18K, yellow vs white · 14K hallmark.
4. Lab-grown diamond or moissanite
A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond, chemically and physically, grown in a laboratory. Moissanite is a different gemstone, not a diamond, at a more accessible price. The full comparison: moissanite vs lab-grown diamond.
Carats or millimetres?
A carat is a unit of weight, not size. Two stones of the same weight can look different in size, depending on shape and cut. That is why every product page also gives the centre-stone diameter in millimetres — it is what you see on the finger.
Budget
The price is shown on every page including VAT, and you can pay in up to 12 payments with no surcharge over the cash price. By price range: up to ₪3,500 · ₪3,500–₪5,500 · over ₪5,500.
